A new hillhouse in the New Jersey suburbs will be the subject of much discussion after it opened Monday.
The Hill House, built by real estate developer and Hill Street Partners, will be located on a property that has been the site of an abandoned farm for nearly 50 years.
The property is now a parking lot.
The project, which is expected to open this fall, was first reported by The New York Times.
It was designed by the architects of the New York City-based firm Urban Outfitters.
The owners of the property, who are from New Jersey, said the hill house will provide a unique setting for people to relax and reconnect.
“The hill house is one of the best places to have a relaxing, family-friendly outdoor cat house,” said the owners, Eric Hickey and Joanne Belsky.
“We believe that this will be a great way to connect to nature in the city, a natural haven for people with a need to unwind.”
In the neighborhood, the owners said they are working with the community to create a special outdoor cat enclosure for the cats.
The residents of the hillhouse say they plan to take it to the next level.
“This is not just a dog or a cat house.
It’s a community-based house that provides a beautiful environment for the residents of Hill Street,” said Hickey.
