A new book argues that the American landscape is becoming more barren and less greenery-rich.
The title The American Way of Death: Why Landscape Design Is the Answer to the World’s Endless Rains article argues that America is becoming increasingly dominated by a landscape dominated by the suburban landscape.
The book also says that urban planning is inextricably tied to the suburban-urban landscape.
Urban planning is a process that involves building streets, roads, parks, and other physical infrastructure, all designed to connect people and create places that support them.
It’s a process by which the environment is managed and preserved, says the book.
But the book argues the American landscape has become increasingly dominated not by greenery, but by a lack of physical and ecological diversity.
“The American landscape has become more barren, more uninviting, more disordered, less connected to nature,” said the author, Michael T. Klare.
“Landscape design is not an exercise in aesthetic choice, but an exercise of the destruction of the landscape.”
A report by the National Trust for Historic Preservation found that a majority of American homes in 2017 lacked natural light, and were not connected to a natural water source, according to The Hill.
And according to a 2017 survey by the Pew Research Center, just under half of Americans say they’ve lost the feeling of being in a community that’s “very good to live in.”
The authors point to a number of factors that contribute to this trend.
These include the rise of “green” housing as well as the growing prevalence of large, suburban buildings, the use of synthetic materials in buildings, and the spread of urban sprawl.
According to The New York Times, a report by a local non-profit group found that while the U.S. has made progress in improving the quality of its landscape over the last several decades, it’s still “a very different landscape from when the country was a patchwork of prairie and woodlands, or when it was a vast wilderness.”
The book points to a variety of problems plaguing America’s landscape.
It cites issues like rising land use and air pollution as well the lack of natural water sources and water-efficient building codes.
It’s not just land that’s affected, the authors say.
The U.N. Environment Program says it is the most polluted nation on earth, and a new report by climate and water experts at Harvard University estimates that nearly one-third of the nation’s surface land is at “severely elevated” or “very high” risk of disappearing completely.
According the report, the United States is the fourth-most polluted nation after China, India, and Vietnam.
In addition, the report cites the increasing use of water for irrigation, as well increasing use and contamination of groundwater.
The report says the water used to irrigate lawns and gardens is more polluted than that used for irrigation.
The authors of The American Landscape argue that while we have improved in some areas, our landscapes are becoming more and more fragmented.
“There are only a handful of places that are still in existence,” said Klare, who is also the executive director of the Urban Land Institute.
“There are a lot of places, particularly in the suburbs, that are essentially not in the national parks.”
Klein and his co-author, James T. Purdie, also point out that the world is on track to become more densely populated and that the United Kingdom is the world’s largest densely populated country, with an average population of more than 1.2 million people.
Klein says that in the future, the country will become a place where you have to go through a process of reclamation.
The two say that the only way to fix our landscape is to take it back from the government and its planners and turn it into something that is healthy, that we can be proud of.
