The 2018 Fifa World Cup final was the most watched event in the world, but the 2017 World Cup and Euro 2016 finals are now out on the internet too.

The World Cup has been played every four years since the 2023 edition.
The 2017 final was played in Russia and was the final between the USA and the hosts of the 2018 World Cup.
It was the first of the four finals between the two hosts.
It is the second time the tournament has been contested on a permanent basis since it began in 2019.
It is also the first time that the final has been hosted in a country other than the USA, Japan and South Korea.
The final was hosted by the US, with both teams having won the tournament since its inception in 2022.
The US has not hosted the final since it was held in New Zealand in 2021.
The tournament started on Sunday, June 15, 2021, with a pre-tournament warm-up match between the hosts Japan and the host South Korea that was watched by millions.
Japan and Korea both advanced to the final and the two teams will meet again in the semifinals on July 6, 2022.
Japan and South Africa have met once before, in a second-round match in 2010, and it was the latter that ended with the hosts winning 2-0.

The first of those games was the last time the two sides played in the finals, in 2015.
The USA defeated South Africa 1-0 in the first leg.
It was the USA’s first victory at the tournament, and the first by a team that had never won the World Cup before.
Japan has not played a game at the final in any format since they beat Argentina in the 2018 semi-final.
Japan has not won the final at the World Cups since 2007.
